🎤 RETURNS FRIDAY 18th JULY 🎤
CLUB COMEDY is back on Friday 18th July at Fairfield Social, Club Comedy MCR and Josh Jones are bringing a brand new monthly comedy night to the heart of Manchester. Expect an evening of loud stand-up, belly laughs and big names under one roof at Fairfield Social Club
You might know host Josh Jones from national TV, lighting up shows like 8 Out of 10 Cats, Jonathan Ross' Comedy Club, Late Night Mash and most recently starring on Dancing On Ice. Now he’s back where it all began, bringing some of the UK's best new acts for a full comedy showdown!
With a bill packed with the best in British stand-up talent, big laughs and even bigger community spirit, all on the stage of Manchester’s best alternative events space, Fairfield Social Club. The opening night reflects a mix of favourites and rising stars, with FSC’s authentic atmosphere welcoming first-timers and comedy die-hards alike as big names take centre stage.
The big night out lineup is set to feature top talent from all over the UK, including:
Jack Mclean - Multi Award winner Jack McLean is a rising star on the Northern Comedy circuit. Having been crowned Hull What’s on New Comedian of the Year, Bask in Laughter champion 2022 and Yorkshire Comedy Awards Best Breakthrough Act 2023.
Jack made his TV debut as a Semi-Finalist on BBC Three’s ‘BBC New Comedy Awards 2023’ before going on to support Josh Jones, Tom Lucy and Steff Todd on their latest tours.
BBC New Comedy Awards Semi Finalist 2023
Yorkshire Comedy Awards Best Breakthrough Act 2023
Hull New Comedian of the Year 2022
Metroland - The North East’s answer to Monty Python, Metroland Comedy, take their online madness to the stage with sketch comedy that promises laughter, profanity and a new understanding of the term “entertainment”. Sam Fender reckons they're ‘f*cking brilliant!’.
Included on The Guardian and Rolling Stone’s top picks of Edinburgh Fringe 2024.
‘Metroland make you angry that no one told you about them before… Get them on the telly now.’
- Rolling Stone
Molly Rob - Molly Rob is a stand-up comedian based in the North West, known for her sharp observational wit and refreshingly self-aware style. She launched her comedy career by diving headfirst into the notoriously tough Beat The Frog at Manchester’s iconic Frog and Bucket—earning a rare wild card and a place in the prestigious World Series Final.
Blending playful storytelling with clever social commentary, Molly draws on her experiences as a young, non-visibly disabled woman (from an unfortunately named northern town) to deliver quick-witted sets that leave audiences of all ages giggling. A rising star on the circuit, she’s a semi-finalist in the Bath International Comedy Festival New Act of the Year 2025 competition, was handpicked as a Staff Favourite at Creatures Comedy Club, and most recently performed at the Shakespeare North Playhouse, firmly cementing her status as one to watch.
Kim Smith - Hailing from the West Midlands, Kim is a former teacher turned comic. A 2023 Roast Battle Champion, she blends dark humour with a self-deprecating style, finding laughs in life’s messiest moments.
“Incredible writing and delivery. One to look out for.” - I Love Manchester Magazine
